Join us to discover the darkest side of Edinburgh. Get to know who were the worst serial killers, witches, ghosts and other characters that terrorised Edinburgh!
In our self-guided Ghost Tour, you will discover Edinburgh in its toughest time. The Scottish capital was an ugly and dirty city, trapped in the Medieval Age, with terrible conditions. The city couldn't expand due to its wall, and Edinburgh's inhabitants lived in something just over a square mile, along with their disease and pests, so common at the time.
People really believed in God back then... and in superstitions. Among Edinburg's closes and taverns, stories about ghosts, deaths and other dark creatures that terrorised the population started to arise.
People feared the ghosts of John Chesley, Old Agnes or the Bagpiper kid. Although, however, to discover Edinburgh's worst ghost, the poltergeist of George Mackenzie, we don't need to go too much back in time.
Edinburgh Ghost Tour is not only a tour about ghosts. The self-guided walk will transport you to what it felt like to live in that "haunted city". Among other things, we will try to give voice to the hundreds of women that were burned due to witchery. Or we will also explain the generalised fear that people had to be buried alive. Lastly, you will discover the history of two killers much more dangerous than Jack the Ripper.

Jean is a great tour guide. Quite knowledgeable and really enjoys every moment with his group. He took us around Edinburgh, to every magical corner. Highly recommended.
Is a funny way to know a bit of Edinburg. The tour is during night and this gives you a better idea of Edinburg legends.
The tour was very interesting and funny. Our tour guide Fraser loves his job and that made the difference. Much love from Spain
