Description

In the guided walk around Edinburgh's Old Town, you will start the tour at the Usher Hall, near the famous Edinburgh Castle. You will join our expert guide to see and discover the history of the city centre while you visit the best places around the Old Town.

Get to know the famous inhabitants Edinburgh had and how the likes of Adam Smith or David Hume, among others, shaped the city. Every corner of the Old Town has its own unique history, even the pubs! From places that inspired Harry Potter to the square where public executions used to happen, you will be able to see it all in Edinburgh.

You will also visit one of the most beautiful closes in the Royal Mile (closes are little alleys that populate Edinburgh's Old Town). There are dozens of them, and the guide will take you to a few during the tour, but feel free to ask for recommendations after the walk!

Along with the history of Scotland and Edinburgh, you will get to know other cultural and good to know information, such as where to eat or drink.

One last thing, the tour lasts approximately 3 hours, so we won't be able to cover all the history of Scotland in that time! But if you have a certain story or question about Edinburgh, please, ask our guide! They will probably be able to help you.

I booked the tour for my Mum and I after reading these rave reviews. Let me reiterate that Stuart did not disappoint. As such I feel it is only right to tell you all to book immediately - no hesitation or looking elsewhere required. Stuart was engaging, enthusiastic and informative throughout. He was insightful and entertaining, and as such the 3hrs flew by. We learnt so much about the City and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you Stuart, you were a delight!
